For the 2016 model year Audi's small crossover receives mid-cycle update in design and technology. The only offered powertrain, a 2.0L TFSI engine, is a carryover from the previous model year; quattro drivetrain remains optional.

Exterior

The front fascia got a new "Q-design" grill and redesigned Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, which are offered as a standard feature; LED taillights with dynamic turn signals have been redesigned as well. On the inside, 2016 Q3 has seen minor updated, mainly on the alu-optic select buttons. Audi MMI navigation, BOSE surround sound system, and sports seats remains as an optional feature. However, 12-way power front seats with heating feature and two-way climate control, and LED interior illumination come are standard. When second row seats are folded, the crossover offers 48.2 cubic feet of cargo space.

Performance

The two liter turbocharged engine produces 200 horsepower at 5,100-6000 rpm and 207 lb.-ft. of torque at 1,700-5000 rpm. That's enough to push the front wheel drive crossover to 60 mph in 7.8 seconds, while the all-wheel drive quattro version hits to 60 mpg in 8.2 seconds. Top speed is limited to 130 mph. Fuel economy for the FWD Q3 is EPA estimated at 20 mpg for city driving, 29 for highway and 23 mpg for combined driving; for Q3 quattro figures are 20/28/23 mpg respectively.
